The All-terrain vehicle, also known as ATV, is a vehicle that travels on low-pressure tires, with a seat that is straddled by the operator, along with handlebars for steering control. At Dune Buggy Adventour we own the Honda TRX 350 Quadbike but what other type of quadbikes are out there? There are Military use ATV’s which usually are six-wheeled, such as the Jiger produced by the Jiger Corporation, and they were first introduced in mid 1960s and early 1970s. There were also the three-wheeled ATV’s which were used for recreational uses. The first three-wheeled ATV was the Sperry-Rand Tricart. It was designed in 1967 as a graduate project of John Plessinger at the Cranbrook Academy of Arts near Detroit. And we finally have the four-wheelers, Suzuki was a leader in the development of four-wheeled ATVs. It sold the first model, the 1982 QuadRunner LT125, which was a recreational machine for beginners. Since then there have been many changes and many uses for the ATV’s such as farming, racing, construction working, etc. At Dune Buggy Adventours we want to provide you with the best type of ATV’s for you and your family to have the best day of your lives with us at Cozumel Island.
